HATAKA AS113 Modern RN Fleet Air Arm paint set Vol 1

Standard colors of fixed-wing aircraft of the Royal Navy FAA since 1945

Since the end of the Second World War, the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm has adopted a standard camouflage scheme of Extra Dark Sea Grey over Sky, which was used on both propeller aircraft and early jet aircraft. The scheme was modified in the late 1950s, with white replacing the color Sky. In that form, it was used on the last classic fixed-wing jet aircraft of the FAA, including the F-4K Phantom FG.1 and Buccaneer S.2, but also on the Sea Harriers FRS.1. The camouflage of the latter was modified in 1982 during the Falklands/Malvinas War by using Medium Sea Grey over Barley Grey. All Sea Harriers were later repainted Dark Sea Grey and ended their service in the color Medium Sea Grey, which was introduced in 1995.
